Improving answers - St Michael's Catholic College

Encouraging pupils to recognise key examination skills and use this knowledge to improve their answers helps to achieve an A/A* grade.
A variety of examination boards e.g. E-AQA provides student responses and an examiner report on specific questions.
Provide pupils with Student response A. Pupils mark and grade the response justifying why a specific level and grade was awarded. As a class the grade and examiner report are reviewed. Pupils then have to improve Student response A to achieve the highest mark band.
Providing pupils with answers that have only need two additional marks to achieve full marks, is challenging for pupils to improve and encourage them to think in-depth about possible answers and examination skills.
