Students from Year 12 and 13 attended the Girls Human Rights Festival 2024 this week, organised by Sultana Tafadar, King’s Counsel; and launched at The Supreme Court of The UK by Lady Simler DBE, Justice of the Supreme Court

There was a programme of events, different students attending different days: Advocacy Bootcamp, Yong Lawyer’s Symposium and The Leadership Summit.

Natasha J attended Leadership Summit om Day 3 with Ciara:

I had the privilege of attending day 3 of the Girls Human Rights Festival, hosted by Girls Human Rights Hub at Hogan Lovells office.

At the event we had the opportunity to hear from a number of inspirational and successful women, about their career paths and
any advice that they had for us. We also took place in workshops that developed our negotiation and public speaking skills, which
are integral to not just a career in law but a wide range of sectors.

I thoroughly enjoyed the event as I loved being around these amazing women with interesting stories and working with my peers.
All of the speakers were interesting, some powerful and provocative; and I feel like I learnt so much.
