Dear Parent/Carer,
Please find a letter from the Principal attached in relation to lateral flow covid-19 tests which are due to take place on the college site this term. Parents/Carers must read the letter and accompanying documents- especially the ‘Terms of consent for Covid rapid testing’ ahead of completing the consent form via Google forms by Thursday 7th January.(CLICK HERE)
Students aged 16 or above will be required to complete the form themselves as it is not possible for parents to provide consent for anyone aged 16 or over and they should therefore also read the letter and accompanying documents.
Please note staff overseeing the testing will be fully trained St Michael’s staff, with full DBS checks and we will not be using volunteers. It is important to state that students will be required to swab themselves as they would if they were using the current postal tests or going to the walk in/drive through test centres, however staff will be on hand to fully supervise the students and provide assistance if necessary.
