School Improvement and ‘top results sustained at St Michaels Summer 2014’

St Michaels GCSE Examination Results – Summer 2014

Students at St Michael’s Catholic College have once again achieved outstanding GCSE results this summer. 76% of the Year 11 cohort succeeded in attaining 5 or more A*–C grades including English and Maths while 88% achieved 5 or more A*– C grades. 53% of students achieved an English Baccalaureate qualification, which exceeded the schools target, and is well above national average.

We are especially proud of all of these achievements as they are based on one exam entry; do not include any retakes and occurred within all the political changes introduced by central Government over the last year. We are delighted that students and staff concentrated on the real business of teaching and learning thereby enabling all pupils to achieve their potential and beyond.
