Michael’s Catholic College: Pastoral Systems

Each student has:

• A Form Tutor.
• 2 Leaders of Learning or 1 Leader of Learning and 1 Deputy Leader of Learning
• A member of the Senior Leadership Team who oversees achievement and progress of students in each year group.

The role of the Form Tutor is to:

• Be the first point of contact with parents/carers and be available if parents/carers wish to discuss or report any problem to them.
• Monitor the academic progress and welfare of students in their tutor group.

Leaders of Learning/Deputy Leaders of Learning

Are responsible for a specific year group and monitor the progress and achievement of all students in their year. If you have any concerns you should initially approach your child’s Form Tutor, but if it is a more serious matter the Leader/Deputy Leader of Learning may become involved.
