St. Michael’s Catholic College Celebrates Exceptional A-Level and CTEC Results, with Five Students
Heading to Oxbridge
St. Michael’s Catholic College is delighted to announce another year of brilliant A-Level and CTEC results, celebrating the hard work, dedication, and outstanding achievements of its Year 13 students. The school is particularly proud to confirm its best ever Oxbridge success, with five students successfully securing prestigious places at Oxford and Cambridge universities, a testament to their academic excellence and the support of their teachers and families.
We are thrilled to report that an impressive two-thirds of students secured A*- B grades (or technical equivalent) with 100% of Year 13 students entered for final exams. The vast majority of students have earned places at their first-choice universities, including a significant number at top Russell Group universities and are poised to embark on degree courses ranging from Biochemistry, Modern Foreign Languages and Law to Business Management and the Arts. This remarkable success underscores St. Michael’s commitment to academic excellence and preparing students for the most competitive higher education pathways.
Beyond university admissions, a number of students have also secured highly competitive apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships with leading companies including Allianz, BNP Paribas and Schroders. These opportunities see them gain invaluable professional experience and training and the start of a career in a variety of industries.
“We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our Year 13 students,” said Felicity Corcoran, Headteacher of St Michael’s Catholic College “Their resilience, determination, and academic achievements, are truly inspiring. These results reflect not only their individual talents but demonstrate the positive impact of our inclusive Salesian ethos and Catholic school community in shaping their personal development. The outcome also reinforces our recent ‘outstanding in all areas’ Ofsted inspection report which stated that the school provides students with an excellent education which prepares them exceptionally well for their next steps.”
The school extends sincere gratitude to its dedicated staff, whose tireless commitment, expert teaching, and high-quality pastoral care have been instrumental in guiding students to these outstanding outcomes. St. Michael’s also wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the parents and careers of our Year 13 students for their invaluable partnership and unwavering support throughout their children’s educational journey.
As our Year 13 cohort move on to their next exciting chapter, St. Michael’s Catholic College wishes them all the very best for their future endeavours, confident that they are well placed to go out and make a positive impact on the world.
