In lessons we often ask students to show their understanding of a key word, term, theory or idea. However, students’ can often write a lot to demonstrate their understanding that could otherwise be demonstrated in fewer words. Having students sum up their understanding in 140 characters is a great way to challenge students to be more articulate. The great thing about this is if students are using a computer or tablet they can use the character count to easily see how many characters they have actually used.
