Philosophy Time

The teacher facilitates a student-led discussion on a philosophical question or picture stimulus. It builds higher order thinking, questioning, speaking and listening skills. It creates respect for others, promotes engagement with learning and enhances educational development.

Provide students with a stimulus. Every child has to write a corresponding word, then an open ended question. As a group, the students select which question to answer for their discussion. They record their reflections throughout. (Resources in the RE department)
