On Sunday 17th April we celebrated Good Shepherd Sunday in our churches. This is also a day when we traditionally pray for vocations. In order to mark this, as well as to continue marking the year of mercy, we invited Sr. Jacinta, a Franciscan of the divine motherhood, and two Comboni Missionary sisters to visit in assemblies and RE lessons for the whole week. The feedback was really positive with some classes asking when they would receive a visit from the nuns as they had heard all about it and were excited.
The sisters spoke about the year of Mercy and linked it with their own calling and stories from their vocation. They were delighted with the response from the students and expressed a desire to come in to school again.
