Cambridge University Prize for St Michael’s student!
Victoria Nwaesei was selected by Southwark and Christ’s College Cambridge to receive one of a very select number of prizes awarded to students in Southwark who achieved the highest GCSE results. As part of her prize she was invited to attend a special ceremony at Christ’s College Cambridge and below is her account of her day. Well done Victoria!
On the 29th October 2015, I was chosen to go to a GCSE prize giving ceremony at Christ’s College Cambridge. The day consisted of lunch, a talk by the admissions tutor, a tour of the college and the prize giving ceremony. It was a wonderful experience as we got a detailed insight into the life of being a student at Cambridge University. Moreover, we were given useful advice in terms of how we can deal with the challenges of completing A levels and we were also given guidance about what top universities like Cambridge are looking for when they read applications and personal statements. It was a truly amazing experience!
